[g1-hackers] RC30 build with debian installed?

There are already replacement RC30 builds on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443713 
  that maintain root access with a SUID copy of sh as /system/bin/su  
and also allow adb to connect to a root shell on the device.

Any thought as to the best way to build an image with debian  
preinstalled so we don't have to use the SD card at all?  The absolute  
minimum size for debian base is what, 20Mb or so?

I think the cache partition is only used to download new firmware  
builds from google, so we may be able to make use of that space as a  
mount point as well.
