[iphone-java] Confused about '$' and '@Message' ... and other things

hi all,

it's weekend, so i have some time to go on with java on the iphone. :-)
last week i relatively fast could adopt jays helloWorld to work with the calendar data.

today i wanted to add the result view, when tipping the resultTable in my UISectionList ... and damn ... i don't get it! :-(

Guillaume just said in a mail, he had to use the UITableView ... i tried the same, because i didn't get the selection event, when tipping on a row.

now i am stuck with everything ... why can't i get an UITableView.UITableViewStyle constant, as stated in the apple docs?

and while trying to get it to work, i realize, that i am a bit confused about all the '$' everywhere ... where do i have to use the '$' before or after a method call? didn't it have to do a thing with static methods???

and the Message-Annotation seems to be a thing from jocstrap, right? i would have to look it up in the jocstrap source code, didn't i???

i think what would be really helpful to other beginners, to clear out, which classes from the apple docs can be used and how ... otherwise one could get the impression, one could only fish in the dark. ;)

andy thoughts, hints or code samples to make it easier for us all?!

regards ako
