Hello,

Perhaps your applications partition was full(or close to being full) when you attempted to install Cydia. I would suggest, if possible, restoring your iphone to 1.1.4, and then doing a completely fresh activate/jailbreak/unlock(using the usual unlocking tools like iNdependance, ZiPhone?, etc.). Then, using Installer app, install Cydia first thing. Do NOT install the BSD Subsystem, or any other BSD related package that may be available in Installer, the same thing applies to OpenSSH.

You will get BSD, SSH, etc. via Cydia once installed. After Cydia has successfully installed, you will then want to install FAKE BSD. This will essentially fool all other software applications that you may wish to install Via Installer(in other words.. only the ones you are not able to yet find in Cydia) to believe BSD Subsystem is installed, which of course it is not, because you've used Cydia to install a 'better' BSD subsystem.

Try to use Cydia for all your software installations, only using Installer when when your favorite application is not yet available in the Cydia application. Hopefully, very soon, all software found via Installer app, will be available in Cydia.

If you need support, please visit irc.saurik.com and log onto #iphone. Because this ticket sounds more to be a problem related to the iPhone, and it's current state at the time you experienced the problem, we'll close it out if we do not hear back from you with any additional input that may serve to help identify the problem.
