nmap doesn't always work

Reported by: saurik Owned by: saurik
Priority: major Component: Telesphoreo

Description

More details should be provided, but the basic summary is that nmap is somewhat unstable and has problems with simple scan variants (more complex ones tend to work better) and pretty much _can't_ scan machines on the same network segment as the phone.

The -sT, -sV with -PN flag are the only variants that works at local area.

if i do a nmap -n -sP as mobile it finds all the hosts on the network but i get a warning saying icmp ping is disabled instead its using tcp ping. same command as root ( via su or sudo ) only finds iphone.

ps traceroute fails as root too. may be they are related.
